Syrian MFA: Syria reserves the right to retaliate to Israeli attacks
The Syrian Foreign Ministry sends two letters to international organizations on the latest Israeli aggression against Syria.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry sent two letters to the UN Secretary-General and the Head of the UN Security Council regarding "Israel's" latest attacks against Syria.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that Damascus reserves the right to retaliate against the attacks using appropriate means guaranteed by international law and the UN charter.
The Foreign Ministry also pointed out the dangerous repercussions of "Israel's" continued violations of the Agreement on Disengagement between "Israel" and Syria, noting that it has now become urgent that the Secretariat-General and Security Council both exercise their authority and condemn these dangerous crimes.
Syria's SANA news agency reported that four Syrian soldiers were killed and three others were wounded as a result of an Israeli attack on the outskirts of Damascus on Wednesday.
Syrian Defense Ministry sources said "the Israeli enemy launched rocket volleys targeting Damascus from the direction of Tabariyya," stressing that air defenses downed most rockets. SANA further said, citing military sources, that the attack happened at 12:41 am Wednesday.
