Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad arrives in Jeddah
Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad will be participating in the Arab League summit on Friday.
President Bashar Al-Assad arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to attend the upcoming Arab League summit.
Earlier, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad confirmed that President Bashar Assad will reportedly be attending the upcoming Arab League summit in Jeddah.
Al-Assad "will lead the country's delegation to the Arab League summit in Jeddah," Mekdad told Sky News Arabia.

Syria's Foreign Minister, Faisal Mekdad, arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Monday, heading a Syrian delegation that will participate in meetings in preparation for the upcoming Arab summit on 19 May.
The Minister dismissed the turbulent relations between Syria and other Arab countries as he said, "We don’t look at the past, rather, we are looking forward to the future." He further added that "there are many challenges to be discussed, and we should mobilize our Arab powers to face them, including the Arab-Israeli conflict and the climate issue."
The diplomatic delegation headed by Mekdad was preceded by an earlier delegation led by Economy Minister Mohammad Samer Khalil, which landed in the Saudi coastal city of Jeddah ahead of the upcoming Arab League Summit.
