Citizens in eastern Syria, with the support of a Syrian army checkpoint, managed to repel a convoy of US occupation military vehicles and prevent them from entering their village. The villagers, including children and local residents, formed a human barrier in front of the armored vehicles, effectively halting their passage.

Sputnik correspondent, citing local sources in the countryside of al-Hasakah province, reported that Syrians, supported by soldiers of the Syrian army stationed at a nearby checkpoint managed to resist the attempt of a US military convoy to enter the village of Hamou, south of the city of Qamishli, in the far outskirts of al-Hasakah province.

Video footage filmed by locals shows tribesmen and tribeswomen of the Tayy tribe confronting four US armored vehicles on a road leading to their village. They forced the vehicles to change their direction with a barrage of thrown stones, redirecting them toward areas controlled by the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Sources mentioned that the citizens also removed and tore down all US flags displayed on the back of the armored vehicles before setting them ablaze, expressing their rejection of the US occupation of their land. The US occupation in Syria has been largely accused of exploiting and plundering the resources of the Syrian people, including oil, gas, and wheat.

It is worth noting that US occupation forces have intensified their attempts to breach and bypass checkpoints set up by the Syrian army at the peripheries and entrances of villages and towns in the countryside of al-Hasakah province.

Eastern regions of Syria are currently witnessing widespread public and tribal anger against the practices of the US military and the SDF militias allied with them. These practices primarily include the theft of oil and gas resources, hindrance of education, enforcement of forced conscription, and other grievances.

On March 9, the US House of Representatives rejected a resolution presented by Republican Representative Matt Gaetz, which called for the withdrawal of US forces from Syria.

Furthermore, it's notable that the US military, along with other foreign forces, participates in the so-called "International Coalition" and occupies at least 28 declared military sites in Syria. These sites are distributed across three provinces: al-Hasakah (17 sites), Deir Ezzor (9 sites), and Homs (2 sites).
