Taliban: We Will Not Allow al-Qaeda to Operate in Afghanistan
Taliban asserts that U.S. forces must withdraw from Afghanistan by September 11, adding that it's "not interested in attacking US forces until then."
The Taliban in Afghanistan announced that "The United States should withdraw its forces from the country by next September 11."
The movement added that it is "not interested in attacking the American forces that will remain in the country until that date," which is the date set by the United States as a deadline for withdrawing all of its forces from the country it occupied 20 years ago.
Taliban stressed that it "will not allow al-Qaeda or any other terrorist organization to operate in Afghanistan."
In addition, the spokesman for Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, said in a tweet that he will hold a press conference today at a media center that the Afghan government used previously in the capital, Kabul.
