Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam emphasized the importance of applying "maximum pressure on Israel to stop its ongoing attacks on various areas, especially residential ones," calling for a complete halt to the Israeli attacks.
In response to the recent Israeli attack on Lebanon, Salam declared, "Targeting Saida or any other Lebanese area is a direct assault on Lebanese sovereignty and a blatant violation of Resolution 1701 and the security arrangements established to end hostilities."
Salam's statement came after three people were killed in an Israeli attack on an apartment in the southern Lebanese city of Saida, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
Our correspondent detailed how the target in Saida was Hamas leader Hassan Farhat, who was in an apartment on Dalaa Street in downtown Saida that was bombed by an Israeli drone early Friday morning.
Israeli occupation forces had launched several raids since the evening on areas in southern Lebanon, including al-Naqoura, Nabatieh, and Saida, resulting in damage to the targeted areas.
As our correspondent reported earlier, another airstrike targeted the Wadi Ezza area in southern Lebanon.
On Thursday, the Israeli occupation targeted a car in the city of Bint Jbeil, resulting in two injuries, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The Israeli occupation forces have continued their violations of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon since November 27, 2024, with more than 2,000 violations recorded, including blatant attacks on areas in the South, the Bekaa Valley, and the Southern Suburb of Beirut.
