Tens of thousands of Egyptians demonstrate in support of Palestine
Tens of thousands of Egyptians demonstrated in Tahrir Square and various parts of Egypt in support of Gaza and in rejection of the Israeli aggression, and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif performed prayers in absentia for the souls of the martyrs of Palestine.
For the first time since 2014, Tahrir Square in the center of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, received a march coming from al-Azhar Mosque denouncing the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip.
The demonstrators succeeded in reaching the square, chanting slogans, "Neither al-Naqab nor Sinai, Palestine is ours," and "The people want to liberate Palestine," in reference to statements by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi about his rejection of displacing Gazans to Sinai and his talk about the possibility of transferring them to the al-Naqab Desert.

News pages circulated a video of young Egyptians chanting for the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, during a demonstration in support of Gaza.

Worshipers at al-Azhar participated in a demonstration calling for an end to the Israeli massacres and destruction in Gaza and urging the international community to hold criminals from the Israeli entity accountable for killing women, children, the elderly, and innocent people, as the demonstrators reached their final point in Tahrir Square.
Those who attended the demonstrations chanted slogans, the most prominent of which were: "Down, down with the occupation," "Oh Al-Aqsa, do not worry, we will redeem you with our soul and blood," "From Egypt, from al-Azhar, a thousand salutes... to the Palestinian resistance," and "Oh Zionists, you liar, the resistance is not a terrorist," and "No displacement, no resettlement...the land is the land of Palestine."

The demonstrations included several Egyptian cities: Minya, Beni Suef, North Sinai, Gharbia, Kafr El-Shaikh, Faiyum, Suez, and Ash Sharqia.
Demonstrations and solidarity events continue in a number of Arab and foreign countries, with the Israeli aggression on Gaza continuing for the 14th day in a row.
The marches come as the occupation escalates its bombing of areas of the Gaza Strip, from south to north, in light of the depletion of medicine stocks and the lack of water and electricity.
