Terrible destruction, collapse on the horizon for 'Israel': Ex-General
Israeli Reserve Major General Itzhak Brik confirms that if the Israeli government does not end the war, the battle will turn into a long war of attrition.
Israeli Reserve Major General Itzhak Brik confirmed that unless the Israeli government ends the war, then the battle will turn into a war of attrition that will last for years, led by Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in the North, and eventually lead to the collapse of "Israel".
In an article in the newspaper Haaretz, Brik explained that unless the war ends, "Israel" will lose its captives and the economy will collapse, and so will its reserve army as it will no longer be able to bear the burden without troops rotation. Moreover, the devastated settlements on the southern and northern borders will not be rehabilitated, and the 100,000 evacuated settlers will plunge into destitute poor.
He pointed out that "Israel" will be further isolated across the world, and the severity of the economic and cultural boycotts and military embargo, which "Israel" is already witnessing, will only intensify as a result of the decisions by The Hague Court.
Moreover, "Israel", according to Brik, will be excluded from international projects and events, and the feelings of hatred for it will go through the roof.
The Israeli major general also pointed out that whoever can settle abroad, especially specialists in the field of technology and medicine, will do so and flee "Israel" en masse, adding that "the rift that exists in today's divided society will only expand further as the situation deteriorates."
"Clashes between its various categories will disintegrate Israeli society from within," Brik maintained.
He stressed that there is a reasonable likelihood for the outbreak of a multi-front regional war, which would further accelerate the end of "Israel".

New threats to ‘Israel’
Brik pointed out that "the leaders, who did not succeed in responding to Hamas and Hezbollah [attacks], decided to play with fire and bring Iran into the equation," adding, "They are opening fire in all directions indiscriminately and are bringing us closer to a regional war that will cause terrible destruction and unbearable losses."
Even if a comprehensive regional war did not break out in the last round against Iran, he continued, several other events that would place "Israel" at risk actually took place, the most important of which is Iran’s direct attack on "Israel", which stipulates a change in the rules of engagement.
The Israeli Major General claimed that "after the Israeli response to Iranian territory, Iranian officials are talking about a rapid transition from a nuclear threshold state to a fully nuclear state," noting that "the Iranians have learned lessons from their attack on Israel, as now, they will bury their nuclear capabilities deep under the ground."
According to Brik, "Iran’s recent attack on Israel will only increase its readiness for a comprehensive war," stressing, “They have studied our method of action very well."
He also pointed out that the Iranian nuclear program aims primarily to "create a balance of nuclear terror with Israel and use the conventional weapons of Iran and its proxies against it."
"The destruction caused by these weapons is similar to the destruction caused by a nuclear bomb – yet without the nuclear repercussions," he maintained.
Furthermore, the Israeli Major General concluded this part of his article by admitting that "Israel" is not ready for such a regional war.

Replacing leaders a dire necessity
Israeli Reserve Major General Itzhak Brik stressed that "the country's leaders, at the political and military levels, who brought upon us the shame of October 7 with their careless actions, are neither able nor willing, from a psychological standpoint, to end the war, and no force in the world will have them budge from their position."
Therefore, according to him, these leaders cannot be the source of "salvation". He further stressed that "those responsible for the failure fear that following the massacre and shame they brought to the country on October 7, some ministers and people [who do not understand the reality around them] will accuse them of surrendering if they stop the war."
Brik stressed that "some of these leaders are fully aware of their fate," noting that "they know that their failure will go down in the history books for which they will be remembered forever. Therefore, they are ready to destroy Israel and drag all Israelis along with them into the abyss, working by the saying, ‘If I fall, then everyone should fall along with me.’"
For all the aforementioned reasons, the Israeli major general concluded that "the leaders, at the political and military levels, must be replaced immediately, because we will not be able to survive with them…"
