Terrorist cell possessing 400+ explosives dismantled in Qom: IRGC
Iranian security forces dismantle terrorist cells attempting to carry out sabotage operations and incite chaos in the country.
The Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps in the Qom province announced on Thursday that a terrorist cell was dismantled and its members were arrested.
According to the IRGC commander, the cell had more than 400 explosive devices in its possession.
On Wednesday, the head of the judiciary in Ilam province, Imran Ali Mohammadi, announced that three members of a terrorist group were arrested.
He pointed out that the terrorist elements were planning to target some Iranian government centers and incite riots in the province.
On September 17, the police command in East Azerbaijan province in Iran arrested a suicide bomber who attempted to carry out a suicide operation in Tabriz Namaz Square.
Similarly, the Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib revealed that in recent months, Iran has discovered and dismantled 400 explosives in recent months, with 40 of them set to detonate during the holy Islamic month of Muharram.
