The Retribution: When Iran punished 'Israel' in Operation True Promise
Al Mayadeen TV presents "The Retribution" documentary, offering detailed insights, information, and key interviews regarding Iran's Operation True Promise against "Israel".
One of the aspirations of the youths during Iran's Islamic Revolution was to turn their country into the leading missile power in West Asia. After four decades of relentless effort following the Revolution’s victory, these youths, who are now the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran, have achieved this goal to the point where they can now punish "Israel" deep within the occupied Palestinian territories.
These efforts began with the manufacturing of short-range missiles and culminated in the production of the Fattah hypersonic missile. The objective behind this advancement and the growth of defense industries is to reinforce Iran’s deterrence and safeguard its national security.
#Iran recently unveiled its first hypersonic ballistic missile, named Fattah, which is capable of bypassing advanced air defense systems.

While many countries around the world possess vast arsenals of weapons, only a few enjoy the determination and strong will to actually use them, and Iran is one of these few. With an objective fundamentally different, Tehran’s adversaries had to understand that the Islamic Republic is indeed determined to use its arsenal whenever necessary.
Indeed, Iran has demonstrated this resolve over the past few years, especially after the end of the war that was imposed on it. Between 2005, which saw the launch of one of Iran’s largest military drills and the targeting of bases belonging to the terrorist Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MEK) organization in Iraq, and 2024, the world has witnessed how Iran punished terrorists, separatists, and takfiris (extremists), alongside targeting hostile intelligence centers, thus accumulating its deterrence against its enemies.
Iran’s retribution is not limited to specific tools, nor is its deterrence complete without retaliation for the crimes of the United States and the Israeli occupation.
In January 2020, Iran delivered the first official blow to the United States since World War II by bombing the largest American military base in Iraq, Ain al-Assad, as well as the Harir base in Erbil, in retaliation for the assassination of the commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, martyr Qassem Soleimani.
Then, in April 2024 came Operation True Promise against "Israel" in response to the targeting of the Iranian consulate in Damascus and the assassination of the Quds Force's commander in Syria and Lebanon, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi.
At the time, nearly the entire world’s attention was focused on the region, spanning just 22,000 square kilometers, as defensive readiness was raised to an unprecedented historical level. This was part of the US efforts to protect "Israel" from Iran's retaliation, which involved the largest drone attack in history yet represented only a fraction of the Islamic Republic's military capabilities.
However, this global mobilization in West Asia could not prevent Iran's Operation True Promise from dealing strategic blows to "Israel" and the US hegemony in the region.
Undoubtedly, many questions came to the minds of the United States, "Israel", and their allies: What if Iran had used the element of surprise in Operation True Promise? What if the operation saw Iran only launching ballistic missiles? What if the attacks had lasted a few more hours or days? What if other batches of missiles were launched following the depletion of the defense systems of Iran’s adversaries?
What if the IRGC had used its latest defensive achievements? What if the Islamic Republic’s allies had engaged in the battlefield with full force? What would have happened to the Israeli occupation entity, which couldn’t even secure victory in Gaza’s small territory since October 7?
Questions keep going, to which Iran's adversaries have no answers.
"The Retribution" documentary presents detailed insights, information, and key interviews regarding Iran's Operation True Promise, including with several prominent figures, such as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the IRGC Commander-in-Chief, Major General Hossein Salami, the Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, a former Pentagon advisor, a former US Navy officer, and others.
