Three Rockets Fell Near US Embassy Iraq
Three Katyusha rockets fell near the US embassy in the Green Zone in Baghdad with no injuries reported.
Three Katyusha rockets fell near the Green Zone in Baghdad, where the US embassy, several other foreign embassies, and Iraqi government offices are, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
The rockets fell at around dawn, and no casualties were reported, as all the damages were material. This is the first attack near the Green Zone in around two months.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
The latest attack on the Green Zone was in July when a drone attacked the US embassy. The drone was then shot down by the embassy's C-RAM system.
The same day that attack went down, the Ain al-Assad Airbase was targeted by Katyusha missiles, but the US-led International Coalition Spokesman Colonel Wayne Marotto said that "no casualties were reported."
