Trudeau faces potential prosecution for Israeli war crimes complicity

The International Center of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) has informed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and three other government officials of its intent to prosecute them for complicity in Israeli war crimes in Gaza.
The ICJP, an independent organization of lawyers, politicians, and academics, advocates for Palestinian rights and seeks to protect those rights through legal means.
It said in a statement the following: "The ICJP’s Legal Working Group for Canadian Accountability (ICJP LWGCA) has issued a notice to the Government of Canada of its intention to prosecute Canadian officials for their role in aiding and abetting Israel’s perpetration of war crimes."
"The notice was issued to ... Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly, Minister of National Revenue Marie-Claude Bibeau, and Minister of Justice (Attorney General) Arif Virani," the statement added.
The notice was issued as a warning to Canadian government officials, including Trudeau, that they could be individually held liable and prosecuted before the International Criminal Court (ICC) if evidence is found of their complicity in Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Israeli-led genocide on Gaza.

This comes in light of "Israel's" actions on the civilian population of Gaza, including indiscriminate bombing of civilians, withholding humanitarian aid, and forced displacement. The ICJP criticizes Canada for its continued support of "Israel" and failure to take action on weapon exports and recruitment of Canadian military volunteers for "Israel."
"CJP LWGCA calls on the Government of Canada to end its complicity in war crimes by calling for a ceasefire, canceling all arms exports permits to Israel, prosecute those recruiting Canadian volunteers for Israel’s armed forces, and prevent Canadian charities from using donations to benefit Israel’s armed forces," the statement continued.
Trudeau has continuously supported "Israel's" purported right to self-defense "in accordance with international law." However, the statesman urged "Tel-Aviv" on Tuesday to exercise maximum restraint in Gaza.
"The world is witnessing this killing of women, of children, of babies. This has to stop," he told a news conference on Wednesday.
