Trudeau's Liberal party decreases in popularity post-'Freedom Convoy'
A new poll shows that not many Canadians will be voting Liberal next elections.
As Canadians' rejection of COVID-19 mandates and vaccines escalates, so does their rejection for Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party.
This comes in light of the Freedom Convoy protests which blocked lively trade routes between Canada and the US, and following recent police crackdowns on the protestors, including over 100 arrests.

A poll conducted by Mainstreet Research conveyed this correlation, showing that support for the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) has increased 10% within the past month - this entails that if elections in Canada were to be held today, the CPC would take the win.
The CPC would've collected 36% of the ballots, compared to only 28% for the Liberal Party, according to the survey as reported by Toronto99.
The poll was conducted just two days after Trudeau invoked Canada's Emergencies Act, which suspends civil liberties - a move to completely suppress the Freedom Convoy protests. The invocation authorized the government to freeze demonstrators' bank accounts without any court orders, and equated fundraising platforms for the protests with laws that prosecute money launderers and terrorist financiers.
What's worse for Trudeau's case is that the survey was completed before footage of police trampling on Canadian protesters with their horses went viral. The protestors were stung with police tear gas, and pummeled with rifle butts.
According to the poll, 36% of Canadians are still in favor of the COVID-19 restrictions, while 55% support ending all COVID-19 mandates and measures. What's interesting is that two months ago, 56% of Canadians were in favor of another round of lockdowns in the country.
The poll saw 39% of respondents strongly oppose Trudeau's invocation of the Emergencies Act, while 38% strongly support the move.
Earlier this month, a poll by Maru Public Opinion showed that only 16% of Canadians would vote for Trudeau depending on his actions during the first 2 weeks of the protests, whereas half of the respondents believe that Trudeau is "not up to the job of being prime minister."
