Former US President Donald Trump insulted Saturday US's top military officer General Mark Milley, during a speech at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
A video circulating on social media showed Trump criticizing Milley for his role in the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and expressing his dissatisfaction with the US forces keeping their valuable equipment in Afghanistan after leaving the capital Kabul last August.
"I said that the moment we got out we would take everything, and we would even take the tents out of their places, but they left all the tents and left everything," Trump mentioned at an event hosted by Turning Point Action, a conservative organization.
"Couldn't they fly with two hundred pilots and take the planes out of Afghanistan when they left?" he added.
I know Trump claims he doesn’t drink, but he sounded even more like a drunk uncle at a wedding tonight than usual. Here, he calls General Milley a “f*cking idiot.” pic.twitter.com/YxUfY3suXm

Trump pointed out that the US left expensive planes and a "gorgeous" helicopter in Afghanistan, "many of them brand new, literally out of the box."
The former president mocked the top military officer and said "I'll never forget Milley saying to me, 'Sir, sir. It's cheaper to leave the equipment than to bring it.'"
"That's when I realized he was a f****** idiot," he bragged.
The billionaire argued that the US could have flown the equipment back to the US or Pakistan.
Last month, Trump accused Milley of "treason" for having communicated with his Chinese counterpart.
It is noteworthy that US forces abandoned 73 aircraft and nearly 100 vehicles and other equipment during their withdrawal from Afghanistan, according to the BBC.
