Trump Slams Biden's Incompetence on 9/11 Anniversary
On the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, former US President Donald Trump slams the Biden administration for its "incompetence" in light of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
Former US President Donald Trump used the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks to criticize Joe Biden in a video message on Saturday, accusing him of "incompetence" in light of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
"This is a very sad day. September 11 represents great sorrow for our country," Trump said, adding, "It is also a sad time for the way our war on those that did such harm to our country ended last week," blasting Biden, saying that he was "made to look like a fool."
The former one-term President attributed this to "bad planning" and "incredible weakness" because leaders "truly didn't understand what was happening," regretting the deaths of 13 US soldiers in last month's suicide bombing that took place during the evacuations from Afghanistan. He also regretted the Taliban's takeover of billions of dollars of military equipment "without even a shot being fired."
Trump also declared that instead of fighting and this 20th year in the war being one of "victory and honor," the new President "surrendered in defeat." The "embarrassment" of this defeat is something that the US will "struggle to recover from," according to Trump.
At some point, Biden had called the US evacuation operation from Afghanistan an "exceptional success."
