The Trump Organization has started selling merchandise emblazoned with the slogan "Trump 2028", raising questions about President Donald Trump's intentions beyond his current term. The red hats, priced at $50, and matching T-shirts, available for $36, are available through the organization’s online store.
Described as a bold fashion statement, the high-crown hat features "Trump 2028" in bright white embroidery, along with the phrase "Rewrite the Rules", suggesting a provocative stance on political norms.

Third-term ambitions?
While the US Constitution's 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms, Trump and his allies have repeatedly teased the idea of a third term. In a recent phone interview with NBC News, Trump said, "A lot of people want me to do it," referring to the possibility of running again in 2028.

He added, "We have a long way to go, you know, it's very early in the administration," without explicitly ruling out the idea. Trump also remarked, “There are methods which you could do it,” when asked if advisors had discussed ways to bypass term limits.
Eric Trump shares merchandise online
Eric Trump, the president's son and a key executive at the Trump Organization, posted a photo on social media wearing the Trump 2028 hat. Alongside the image, he included screenshots of emails from journalists seeking clarification on the campaign-like merchandise.
The Trump Organization has not officially responded to media inquiries regarding the sale or its implications. The marketing move, however, has sparked renewed debate about Trump's future political plans and his continued influence over US politics.
Trump keen on running again
Trump said in March that he was serious about the idea of seeking a third presidential term, despite the US Constitution barring it. However, he added that it was too early to consider taking such a step.
Trump, who kickstarted his second, non-consecutive term on January 20, has previously hinted at the possibility of a third term but addressed it directly in a telephone interview with NBC News.
"No, I'm not joking. I’m not joking," Trump said. However, he added, "It is far too early to think about it."
The current president suggested that there are "methods" to pursue a third term but declined to provide details.
Under the 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution, presidents are limited to two four-year terms, whether consecutive or not.
More than 50% of Americans disappointed with Trump's team
The poll indicated that 52% of those surveyed expressed general disappointment with Trump's appointees, while 45% of respondents stated that they generally supported the candidates selected by the president, revealing a divide in public opinion on his choices.
Conducted among 1,000 adult US citizens from March 7-11, the poll took place before the scandalous leaks of a Signal chat involving Trump's senior administration officials, providing insight into public opinion prior to the controversy.
Conducted during Trump's first term in December 2016, the poll revealed that 44% of those sampled were dissatisfied with his team, while 43% expressed support for the candidates appointed by Trump, highlighting a closely divided public opinion.
