Trump to make ‘big announcement ‘on Nov. 15
At an Ohio rally on the eve of the US midterm elections, former US President Donald Trump says he will make an announcement on Tuesday, November 15 at Mar-a-Lago.
Former US President Donald Trump was on the verge of announcing his decision to run for president again at a campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio, on Monday.
However, Trump raised the stakes even higher by promising something huge from his Florida home next week.
“Not to detract from tomorrow’s very important, even critical, election,” he said.
"I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach Florida. We want nothing to detract from the importance of tomorrow,” he added.
The former president was reportedly in Ohio to campaign for Republican US Senate candidate JD Vance, whom polls show is battling to keep ahead of his Democratic opponent, Tim Ryan, in a battle that could determine Senate control.
The former president also disclosed that he understood the distinction between socialism and communism, claiming that under President Joe Biden, the United States skipped the first and went right to the second.
“This country has gone crazy. There’s only one choice to end this madness. If you support the decline for all of America, then you must absolutely vote for the radical left crazy people, the radical left Democrats. And if you want to stop the destruction of our country and save the American dream, then tomorrow you must vote Republican in a giant red wave that we’ve all been hearing about,” he said.
Some of Trump's strategists believed that by announcing on Election Day, he would be able to chalk up for providing Republicans a lift if they won big. He was also cautioned that if the Democrats perform better than projected, he could be blamed for the Republicans' performance.
