Two days ago, Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, showed his full support for Saied and his measures, describing the president as a "reformer."
For its part, Ennahda movement denounced the president's "illegal" measures, especially after appointing Najla Bouden as the new PM designate, which the movement considered contradicting with constitutional procedures.
It is worth mentioning that on July 25, Saied sacked the prime minister, suspended the parliament and granted himself judicial powers. This was a move he followed up with "exceptional measures" that allow the president to rule by decree.
