Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced Wednesday that Turkiye was determined to oppose the Israeli occupation's recent actions aimed at inflaming the Middle East.

During a speech in Ankara marking the anniversary of Turkiye's Justice and Development Party (AKP), Erdogan emphasized the country's commitment to resisting what he described as the Israeli occupation's attempts to "ignite" conflict in the region. He vowed to "continue the fight until those responsible for the bloodshed in Gaza are held accountable."

Erdogan's remarks come against the backdrop of a heinous Israeli crime committed in the al-Tabieen school in Gaza City's al-Daraj neighborhood. A strike utilizing three precision-guided bombs hit a large group of Palestinians performing dawn prayers on Saturday, killing at least 93 and injuring many others.

They also come in the wake of recent Israeli attacks, particularly the assassination of Hamas Resistance movement leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah senior commander Fouad Shokor, which have particularly inflamed regional tensions.

"Israel" claimed that the bombs killed 19 Palestinian Resistance members, weaponizing the claim as "justification" for killing another 74 people who were performing their internationally protected religious practices. The claim in itself was refuted by Hamas.

Meanwhile, at least 11 children and six women were killed in the strike, while many other bodies, that had been torn apart or charred by the bombs, are yet to be identified.

Government Media Office in Gaza calls for international investigations

The Government Media Office in Gaza has called on various media outlets that reported the Israeli occupation forces' unethical narrative to correct their information and conduct independent, professional investigations.

The office highlighted that the IOF disseminates false information, misleading information, and fabricated stories to justify the ongoing massacres and atrocities committed against civilians, displaced persons, children, and women. This includes a recent false narrative regarding the massacre at the al-Tabieen school in Gaza City.

The Government Media Office asserted that the Israeli occupation's claim of armed individuals being present at the al-Tabieen school is entirely false. Those inside the school were civilians, including children and women, the office further stressed that the Israeli occupation forces failed to substantiate its misleading narrative.

The office further pointed out that the names published by the Israeli occupation as alleged Resistance freedom fighters among the massacre victims include individuals who were actually killed elsewhere or on different dates. All of them were civilians, including university professors and government employees, with no military affiliations.

The office reminded that the Israeli claim of killing 17 "terrorists" at the Nuseirat school was refuted, revealing that 14 of the victims were children.

The statement called on the United Nations and the international community to form international investigation committees to visit Gaza, refugee and displacement centers, especially schools, to verify the compelling on-ground evidence that contradicts the Israeli narrative.

Additionally, the office urged international press and media outlets that adopted the Israeli narrative regarding this and other massacres to apologize for this significant professional error, once the Israeli falsehoods are exposed, emphasizing that no armed presence existed at the school.
