Turkish opposition leader stabbed at party HQs in Ankara
Turkish media says an unidentified assailant attacked Ozturk Yilmaz, leader of the opposition Innovation Party, with a knife in his office in Ankara before fleeing the scene.
Turkish authorities confirmed on Wednesday that Ozturk Yilmaz, leader of the opposition Innovation Party, was attacked with a knife at his party's headquarters in the capital, Ankara.

According to the media, the opposition leader was injured in the attack and lost a significant amount of blood.
Yilmaz has been hospitalized at an Ankara hospital, and the Turkish authorities immediately opened an investigation into the attack, the media said.
Yilmaz recently announced that he would run for the 2023 Turkish presidential election. Last month, he underlined that he wanted to "fight, settle old scores and completely change the system that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan established."
