Two dead, 12 hurt in downtown Montgomery, Alabama shootout
Gunfire erupted in downtown Montgomery after a college football game, leaving two dead and 12 injured as police search for multiple suspects.

Two people were killed and 12 others injured when rival gunmen opened fire in a crowded downtown nightlife area on Saturday night, according to Montgomery police.
The victims were identified as Shalanda Williams, 43, and Jeremiah Morris, 17. Five of the wounded remain hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, including one juvenile.
Authorities said the shootiang occurred just after the Tuskegee University–Morehouse College football game, sending crowds running for safety. Multiple shooters were reportedly involved, nd investigators are still determining who fired first.
No arrests have been made. Police are urging witnesses to come forward with information as they process what they described as a “complicated crime scene.”
Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed condemned the violence, vowing that anyone involved — not only the gunmen but also those who may have had prior knowledge — will be held accountable.
“The shooters had no regard for human life,” Reed said during a press conference on Sunday.
