UK-backed media equally to blame for Iran deadly riots as terrorists
The Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights, Kazem Gharibabadi, says that anti-Iran Persian-language media that are backed by the UK are violating laws and regulations and are no less responsible for inciting riots across Iran as terrorist members.
The Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights, Kazem Gharibabadi, called out the UK government for backing anti-Iran Persian-speaking media outlets that are carrying out a campaign against the country "completely contrary to laws and regulations".
"In fact, the anti-Iran Persian-language media’s moves are completely contrary to laws and regulations, and we hold the British government responsible in this regard," the senior official told reporters in New York on Monday.

Gharibabadi requested an investigation to be carried out by the British communications regulator Ofcom for such violations made by the UK government, adding that the role played by media outlets in inciting riots in Iran and social and security turmoil is equal to or more than the role played by the terrorist groups.
The human rights official, who is also deputy chief to the Iranian judiciary, warned that the British state-funded BBC Persian might also be sanctioned for its role in provoking deadly riots in the country following the sanctions imposed on Saudi-funded and London-based Iran International earlier, as it is now considered a terrorist organization by Iran.

Gharibabadi revealed that he has discussed the violations of the two networks with representatives of around 100 countries, noting that the media outlets have met and interviewed hundreds of terrorists belonging to several groups who carried out criminal acts across Iran.
Iranian authorities have caught a number of European intelligence agents and units in the protests backing terrorist activities, civil violence and feigned acts of protest against Tehran.
In late October, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry and the IRGC's intelligence wing revealed that intelligence obtained by Tehran indicates that the CIA and allied intelligence services planned a conspiracy in Iran against the Islamic Republic.
Earlier this month, the Iranian government announced sanctions on four US institutions and 10 personnel, including the American spy agency, the CIA, for inciting riots in the Islamic Republic and interfering in its internal affairs.
