UK joins 'Hands off Gaza, Hands off Lebanon' protests
Protesters are asking the UK government to end all arms exports to "Israel", affirming that the UK was "complicit with our tax money."
Hundreds of protesters have gathered outside the British Prime Minister's office in London, urging the British government to press for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon and calling for a weapons embargo on the Israeli occupation.

"Hands off Lebanon," "Hands off Gaza" is an urgent cry for the UK government's intervention as "Israel's" horrific attack on Gaza spreads to Lebanon.
One protester told PressTV that the UK government is being asked to end all arms exports to "Israel" and cited the UK was "complicit with our tax money that people in our home countries are being bombed, are being massacred in Gaza and now in Lebanon, and soon, the entire region if Israel continues, and if our government is not pushing for a ceasefire or putting enough pressure on its allies the US and Israel."
Nearly a year into the Gaza carnage, the UK's backing for "Israel" remains unwavering, with little optimism that it will change now that Lebanon is under assault.
Another demonstrator expressed that "this is what the British government has always been; it's what Britain has always been," adding that it was the responsibility of citizens to hold the government accountable and pressure it.
As the British government plans to evacuate British nationals from Lebanon, Ben Jamal, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign Organizer, recalled what Tony Benn said in parliament about the Iraqi war: "Don't Iraqi women weep for their children? Don't their children bleed when they're bombed, don’t they die? What fools are we to think otherwise?"
"Well, the same thing stands now, if our government is concentrated on getting our citizens out of harm's way, what about the civilians of Lebanon? Don't they deserve our consideration?"

NYPD officers, equipped with helmets and batons, stood on high alert, exuding an intimidating presence as they monitored the protest. Their tense posture and watchful eyes conveyed a readiness for confrontation, giving the impression that they were prepared to use force if necessary, even when it is not.
In downtown Washington, DC, a large-scale protest erupted as countless US citizens gathered to demand an end to US funding for Israeli military aggressions, which they condemned as war crimes.
In an emergency demonstration Tuesday night, 500 people marched through downtown Montreal to protest Israeli aggression in Lebanon and what they described as a "holocaust" in Gaza. It is worth noting that another march is planned for tonight, aimed at condemning Canada’s lack of response to Israeli aggression.
In Ottawa, people took to the streets with a huge turnout against the Israeli aggression on innocent civilians.
They expressed support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
