Comrade Dr. Ranjeet Brar and 3 comrades from the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGBML) were arrested on Sunday in London during a demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Reports reveal that the British police arrested the British doctor because of his criticism of Zionism.

Doctor Brar is a leader of the British Communist Party. He had appeared on Al Mayadeen several times, in addition to publishing a video of solidarity and sympathy with the media network after the martyrdom of colleagues Farah Omar, Rabih Me'mari, and Hussein Akil.

Earlier, the United Kingdom welcomed the announced ceasefire agreement, seeing it as a "foundational step" for the release of captives and relieving the humanitarian crisis.

"This agreement represents a foundational step towards providing relief to the families of the hostages and addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza," British Foreign Minister David Cameron said.
