Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stresses Iran's neutral status in the Ukraine war.
Commenting on the statements of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stressed that "the Ukrainian Foreign Minister's baseless accusations against Iran do not help resolve the war crisis."

"That country's officials had better heed the Islamic Republic of Iran's constructive proposals on holding bilateral technical and professional meetings, in which they will present their documents instead of resorting to useless projections," the Iranian spokesperson stressed.
Kanani stressed that Tehran "strongly denies the accusations against us about sending weapons and equipment for use in the Ukrainian war," reiterating his country's "readiness to provide support to stop the war."
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said during an online briefing a couple of weeks ago that he submitted a proposal to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to formally break off diplomatic ties with Tehran.
During the briefing, Kuleba accused Iran of having supplied weapons to Russia despite having no evidence to support his claims.
In this regard, Tehran requested documents from Kiev proving Russia's usage of Iranian drones in Ukraine as part of the ongoing war.
The US accuses Iran of supplying Russia with drones for use in the war in Ukraine, an accusation Tehran consistently denies. Just earlier this month, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian strongly denied Iran's sale of drones and weapons to Russia for use in the war in Ukraine, stressing that the Islamic Republic of Iran "supports the political solution to the crisis in Ukraine."

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova slammed the allegations that Iran has been supplying drones to Russia as "a set of groundless speculations."
In the same context, Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, rejected "unfounded and unsubstantiated” claims that Tehran has supplied Moscow with UAVs for use in the war in Ukraine.
Similarly, Russia’s Deputy UN Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy said the drones used in Ukraine were Russian-made, noting that images of the drones downed clearly show Russian inscriptions on them.
In the meantime, Amir-Abdollahian and his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, had a phone conversation, during which they discussed bilateral ties and the latest developments in Ukraine, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
Amir-Abdollahian repeated Iran's denial of supplying weapons to Russia for the war in Ukraine after Kuleba called on Tehran to "immediately cease the flow of weapons to Russia."
It is worth noting that Iran has previously confirmed that it will not provide any weapon to be used in the Ukraine war to any party at all.
