Uni. heads, police fail to halt pro-Palestine protests in EU, US
MIT, Sorbonne University, Yale, and Columbia University are some of the educational institutions still witnessing pro-Palestine protests despite all attempts to stop them.
Pro-Palestine protests in European and American universities against the Israeli war on Gaza and the genocidal massacres it is committing against Palestinians have been increasing.
This comes regardless of university administrators attempting to suppress these movements by calling for dispersing these sit-ins and even using force at other times.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
The President of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ordered the protesters to end their sit-ins in support of Gaza who has been urging the university to end all its investments concerning "Israel".
She threatened that students who do not adhere to these orders will be subjected to disciplinary measures.
Columbia University
At New York's Columbia University, the administration handed a notice ordering the dispersal of the protests before 2:00 pm (local time) today and threatened the protesters with disciplinary measures if they did not adhere to these orders by the specified time.

The university's President Nemat Shafik announced today that the university has failed to negotiate with the protesting students to end their demonstrations on campus.
A letter addressed to the students also said that the university will not withdraw Israeli investments, adding that the past seven months have triggered divisions at the university regarding the Israeli war on Gaza.
Sorbonne University
Sorbonne University canceled lectures and exams due to a demonstration in support of Palestine inside and outside the university.

French media and activists published video clips documenting the French police dispersing a protest in support of Gaza shortly after dozens of students set up an encampment at Sorbonne University in Paris.
The Fashion Institute of Technology, affiliated with the New York University in Manhattan, New York, pro-Palesine protests were revived days after dozens of protesters set up an encampment.
A group of students in the institute set up a "Gaza Solidarity Camp" and hung banners urging for an end to the Israeli genocide against Gaza one of which read; "As we learn, Gaza is burning,", American media reported.
Yale
At Yale University in Connecticut, more than 200 pro-Palestine demonstraters set up dozens of tents.
George Washington University
At George Washington University in DC, pro-Palestine protests are ongoing and students also set up an encampment.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, the scope of pro-Palestine protests in the US has expanded to include 79 universities and more than 20 states.

At least 900 people arrested
According to a tally by The Washington Post on April 28, over the last 10 days, American authorities have arrested at least 900 protesters at pro-Palestine protests on college campuses, making this the widest police response to campus activism in years, and it may subject law enforcement agencies to challenges.
