US at Lowest Point Ever: Trump
Former US President Donald Trump says Washington's standing in the world right now "is the lowest that it's ever been."
Former US President Donald Trump spoke about the US' standing in the world arena after the Biden administration took office, saying it was at "the lowest that it's ever been."
"I don't think [the US] has ever been in a position like this. We're not respected anymore," Trump told Nigel Farage during an interview on GBNews.
Trump pointed to Taiwan, saying, "There were no planes flying over Taiwan, and the name wasn't even mentioned. You didn't talk about Taiwan when I was president," in a nod to the rising tensions between Washington and Beijing over the island.
The former president also noted that the United States "had no problem with Russia" when he was in office, neither with North Korea, he said. "We didn't have a problem, and now you've got a problem with them too."
Donald Trump, who will be running for president in 2024, also berated the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, which he asserted was "the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country."
Trump cast the blame for the withdrawal on the Biden administration for not following the plans put in place by his administration.
He also blamed the Biden administration for the inflation that has hit the United States, which he said the country has not seen for "40, 50 years," and criticized how the North American country was no longer energy independent.
"It's a shame what's happened to the United States."
