The US occupation forces in Syria conducted a raid that saw the killing of two senior ISIS officials, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed on Sunday.
The operation was carried out via a helicopter raid that targeted the officials in the terrorist group, with the US occupation saying there were no civilian casualties.
"US Central Command forces conducted a successful helicopter raid in eastern Syria at 2:57 a.m. local time on December 11, killing two ISIS officials including Anas, an ISIS Syria Province Official who was involved in the group’s deadly plotting and facilitation operations in eastern Syria," the CENTCOM statement read.
The Central Command claimed that extensive planning went into its unilateral operation so that it can be confident of its success, adding that initial assessments showed that there were no civilians killed nor injured.
"ISIS continues to pursue an aggressive operational agenda, including external attacks that threaten US allies and partners in the region and beyond," the statement further read.
CENTCOM spokesperson Joe Buccino claimed that the operation "reaffirms CENTCOM's steadfast commitment to ensuring [ISIS'] enduring defeat."

On November 30, CENTCOM announced that the leader of ISIS, Abu al-Hasan al-Qurashi, was killed in a raid.
The US occupation's operations come after the local authorities, in cooperation with local and civil groups and with the support of army units, were able to eliminate a terrorist group of senior ISIS officials in Jasim city in Daraa countryside.
"This came during the continuation of the security operation to secure the city of Jasim in the countryside of Daraa," a source said.
"Among the dead was the terrorist Rami Al-Salakhdi, nicknamed Abu Muawiyah Al-Falih, who was the right hand of terrorist Abu Abdul Rahman Al-Iraqis, in addition to the terrorist Abu Khaled Al-Idlibi and others that are still unidentified," the source said.
The security source told the agency that operations are proceeding to eliminate ISIS terrorists from the city of Jasim, as army units are imposing a fire siege around the city, and carrying out precision targeting with appropriate firearms on the terrorists' locations and their movement."
The Syrian news agency, SANA, announced days earlier the killing of a number of ISIS leaders, in a security operation carried out by the competent Syrian authorities, in the countryside of Daraa.
The Syrian army was able to retake control of the province of Daraa (southern Syria) in 2018, according to reconciliation agreements carried out under the auspices of Russia, as well as specific military operations against terrorist organizations.
