A Republican congresswoman has introduced articles for the impeachment of the US President for his violation of the constitutional oath, as she believes he has failed at securing the US's southern border.

US House of Representatives member, Lauren Boebert, tweeted on Wednesday, "Joe Biden has totally failed at his Constitutional duty to secure our Southern Border. For that reason, I have just introduced articles of impeachment to remove him from office."

The congresswoman told Fox News that she plans on fast-tracking the process by filing the legislation under a privileged motion. in case the House's leadership and committees do not move forward with the articles she introduced.

Boebert claimed, "Given the severity of the violation of Joe Biden's constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office of the president, United States to the best of his ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, this is something that we must do with our majorities in the House of Representatives."

Earlier US congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that the Ukrainian oil industry holding firm, allegedly paid then-US Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden a total of $10 million to help halt an investigation into the company by former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

Greene says that Hunter Biden was appointed to Burisma's board to "solve the problems" caused by Shokin's probe. Greene believes that the owner of Burisma paid $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to Joe Biden to fire Shokin and cease his investigation into the company.

Biden and Trump clash ahead of 2024 elections

According to former US President Donald Trump on Monday, a special prosecutor would be hired by him in order to investigate the current president and his family.

Writing with his trademark all caps on social media, Trump announced that he would "APPOINT A REAL SPECIAL ‘PROSECUTOR’ TO GO AFTER THE MOST CORRUPT PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE USA, JOE BIDEN, THE ENTIRE BIDEN CRIME FAMILY, & ALL OTHERS INVOLVED WITH THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR ELECTIONS, BORDERS, & COUNTRY ITSELF!"

Earlier this week, Trump confirmed on June 9 that he had been indicted over his handling of classified documents after leaving office, in another legal threat to his bid for a second White House term.

"The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. However, there was no immediate confirmation from the Justice Department regarding Trump's assertion.

Trump has denied the charges against him and has chastised the US Justice Department for not conducting a thorough investigation into potential criminal behavior by Biden.
