The leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, said on Thursday that the Israeli occupation “continues its brutal escalation and genocidal aggression” against the Palestinian people in Gaza. He added that the “crime of starvation, blockade, and thirst is worsening” alongside concentrated attacks on Gaza City.
“The open American support is what gives the Israeli entity the cover to continue its crimes,” Sayyed al-Houthi declared, stressing that “the United States is a full partner of the Israeli enemy on all levels, be they political, military, or moral.”
He pointed to Washington’s use of its veto at the UN Security Council against a ceasefire resolution, saying that “the Americans insist on the continuation of aggression and the siege, starving the children of Gaza.” He also cited the “visit of a massive congressional delegation” and “a new arms deal to strengthen the enemy’s capabilities” as proof of deepening US complicity.
Hezbollah as the “fortress of the nation”
In his speech, Sayyed al-Houthi praised Hezbollah, stating: “Hezbollah has been, and remains, the impregnable fortress of the Arab and Islamic worlds in the face of Israeli aggression.”
By contrast, he said that “some Arab regimes have continued their intensive conspiracy with the Israeli enemy at the expense of the nation’s sovereignty and the interests of its peoples.” He criticized Lebanon’s government as “submissive and weak, not up to the level of responsibility,” arguing that it “offers a free service to the Israeli enemy and does not protect Lebanese sovereignty.”
Sayyed al-Houthi said that “the Israeli enemy in Lebanon continues its aggression with air raids and attacks on civilians,” noting that “a massacre was committed against a family in Bint Jbeil and other areas,” while also “burning forests in the south and demolishing homes in border villages.”
Israeli violations in Syria and US policy
On Syria, Sayyed al-Houthi said: “The Israeli enemy continues its full-scale violation of Syria, while the groups controlling the country do not consider it an enemy, but rather seek security coordination with it.” He warned that “Israel is working within its David Corridor project to reach the Euphrates River,” accusing factions of “persecuting minorities and pushing them into the arms of the enemy as part of the Zionist scheme.”
Commenting on US regional policy, he said: “The Americans see Arab regimes as nothing but milking cows, while they consider Israel a strategic partner of special status.” He dismissed normalization efforts, saying: “Peace with Israel is an illusory peace pursued by Arabs in vain,” citing recent US statements that “the conflict is not about borders but about dominance and control.”
Gaza resistance and “reverse migration”
Sayyed al-Houthi rejected recent Western recognition of Palestine as superficial, saying: “The so-called two-state solution means a symbolic Palestinian state, disarmed, subject to Israeli interests, and limited to a small part of Palestine.”
He praised the armed factions: “Al-Qassam Brigades and al-Quds Brigades continue their operations with high effectiveness, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy with limited capabilities.” He listed “sniping, ambushes, explosive devices, minefields, raids, and rocket attacks” as part of their resistance efforts, which he said killed and injured “more than twenty enemy soldiers and officers.”
He argued that Palestinian resilience is having an impact inside “Israel.” “We are witnessing unprecedented reverse migration, and despair is spreading among the Zionists,” he said. “Defections in the ranks of the enemy’s soldiers have become widespread. If this is the effect of Gaza alone, how would it be if the whole nation rose up?”
Solidarity and Gaza flotilla
Sayyed al-Houthi also welcomed worldwide solidarity, saying: “We salute the demonstrations in Bahrain, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Yemen, and 19 countries in Europe and America.”
He praised efforts to break the blockade: “The fleet of steadfastness has set sail with 43 ships from Spain, Italy, and Tunisia, and six more will join from Greece. These activists are determined to break the siege imposed on Gaza.”
The organizers of the Global Sumud Flotilla, currently en route to break the blockade on the Gaza Strip, confirmed early Thursday that several governments have warned their citizens participating in the mission of an “imminent Israeli attack.”
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, the flotilla is currently navigating toward Greek territorial waters in a bid to minimize the chances of a direct assault by "Israel."
On Wednesday, activists aboard the Libyan Omar al-Mukhtar hospital ship reported that three drones flew overhead in what appeared to be a surveillance operation. Despite sailing alone to catch up with the main fleet, the crew stated that the ship remains on course and is carrying a mobile medical clinic.
The volunteers on board emphasized that they will continue their mission despite growing threats.
