US House Approves Bill of $1 Billion for "Israel's" Iron Dome
The US House approves a bill to provide $1 billion for "Israel's" Iron Dome replenishment project.
On Thursday, the US House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly in favor of providing one billion US dollars to "Israel" to replenish its Iron Dome missile-defense system.
Before the session, Democrat lawmakers had objected to a provision in the stopgap spending bill, which prevented aid to "Israel," thus obstructing it from replenishing its Iron Dome missile-defense system.
Lapid: The US is our best friend
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett thanked members of the US House of Representatives from both parties for their “overwhelming support of Israel and commitment to its security."
“Whoever tries to challenge that support got their answer today,” he added. “The people of Israel thank the American people and their representatives for their strong friendship.”
On his part, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid welcomed the approval of the US House of Representatives to provide aid to "Israel", and said, "Israel has no better friend than the US."
Yesterday, Israeli media said that the approval of US military aid to "Israel" was postponed in the wake of the opposition of a group of Democratic members of Congress. This came after the Democratic members announced that they will not vote in favor of the budget if it includes interceptor missiles for the Iron Dome.
A $1 billion worth of interceptors' replenishment
During the Seif al-Quds Battle, the Palestinian Resistance hit Israeli posts with more than 5,000 missiles during 11 days and greatly exhausted the Iron Dome system. The Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that "Israel" has consequently asked the United States for emergency assistance of $1 billion to replenish its stockpile of interceptors following the war.

US President Joe Biden's administration had approved a $735 million arms deal with "Israel" in the wake of the war on Gaza. The bulk of the deal consists of Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMS), which are kits that convert the so-called "dumb" unguided bombs into precision-guided munition.
