US National Intel Director: More advanced weapons to be given to Kiev
The director of the US' National Intelligence says that the war in Ukraine is not in a stalemate, but is a grinding conflict.
The US Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines stated on Wednesday that the Biden administration will move forward on requests to send more advanced weapons for Ukraine.
"I just can't speak for the policy community in this scenario as the intelligence officer, but I mean, I have seen obviously the President and his national security cabinet in the policy space continue to move forward on a variety of requests, and I think that will continue," Haines said during a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Moreover, Haines discussed the conflict on the battlefield in Ukraine, and qualified as being not at a stalemate, but as a grinding conflict, adding that both sides of the conflict are facing difficulties on the battlefield.
