US part of corruption in Lebanon: Sayyed Nasrallah
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, delivers a speech on the anniversary of the founding of the Islamic Institution for Education and the birth of Imam Al-Mahdi and talks about the concept of hope for the Resistance in facing challenges.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah confirmed today, Thursday, that "the resistance in all of Lebanon sprouted from hope, announcing that it could wipe out the Israeli era."
"The enemy tried to grow despair in 1982, after its invasion of Lebanon", said Sayyed Nasrallah in his speech on the anniversary of the founding of the Islamic Institution for Education and the birth of Imam Al-Mahdi.
He pointed out that "the resistance is the hope that achieved swift victories against the Israeli enemy," explaining that "the resistance continued [to fight] in 2000 with this hope, and in 2006, it also withstood its ground with hope."

Sayyed Nasrallah stated that "with the aim of growing despair, one of the most important strategies the enemy adopted in the past was killing, massacring, displacing, and demolishing homes," but "a few years ago, it became clear that America's projects for the new Middle East and Iraq had collapsed due to hope and resistance."
Bir al-Abd massacre's intentions and aftermath
In this context, Sayyed Nasrallah touched on the occasion of the Bir al-Abd massacre that took place on March 8, 1985, stressing that "the target in the bombing was Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah."
Sayyed Nasrallah added, "The United States ordered the massacre. As a result, more than 75 were martyred and 270 wounded, while the majority of the martyrs were women and children, noting that the massacre took place on International Women's Day."
"The goal of the Bir al-Abd massacre was to spread terror and despair in our hearts. Had the assassination of Sayyed Fadlallah happened, that would have been a severe blow to us. However, Sayyed Fadlallah survived by God's grace," The Secretary-General of Hezbollah continued.
He pointed out that "some of those who claim sovereignty in Lebanon have their hands bloodied in the bombing of the Bir al-Abed massacre."
Sayyed Nasrallah addressed everyone who threatens the Lebanese people with death and siege, saying: "We do not surrender to killing, and our will cannot be shaken one bit. We will not feel weak because we've put our trust in God, our people, and our youth."
He stressed that "the United States is a partner in corruption in Lebanon," noting that it "prevents placing money deposits in Lebanon, as well as investments and aid."
In addition, Sayyed Nasrallah said he believes that in the current Lebanese political and living predicament, the [Israeli] enemy expects Lebanese people to give up. He then declared that they will not, in fact, give up, since those who have given up, did not survive.
Sayyed Nasrallah concluded his speech by saying, "We must cooperate and show courage and will. Cowards do not liberate lands or change reality. This is what we hope from the graduates of the schools of the Islamic Education Institution."
