US pushes fresh Gaza ceasefire proposal, 'Israel' shows support: Kirby
"Israel" is reportedly highly supportive of the new proposal and is prepared to engage with it sincerely.
White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby stated on Wednesday that a fresh proposition for a Gaza ceasefire is under consideration, with the Biden administration striving to push it forward.
"I think, you know, another proposal now is on the table, a fresh one, and we are doing everything we can to see if we can get that advanced," Kirby said during a press briefing.
Kirby also mentioned that "Israel" is highly supportive of the new proposal and is prepared to engage with it sincerely.
Kirby added that while there's no specific timeline for the resumption of talks on the deal, the US is actively working to revive them. This alleged effort follows an Israeli strike on Rafah, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 40 people and the injury of dozens of Palestinian-displaced individuals on Sunday.

On Monday, Hamas declared its refusal to engage in any negotiations following "Israel's" deadly strike on a Rafah camp where displaced Palestinians sought refuge.
Resistance factions held Washington responsible for the horrific massacre, pointing out to its direct role in the genocide.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu characterized the strike on the Rafah camp as a "tragic mishap" and stated that an investigation into the incident is underway.
The US said it contacted "Israel" to convey its deep concern regarding the deadly strike on Rafah and to urge a thorough investigation.
"As soon as the United States saw reports of this incident, we reached out to the Government of Israel to express our deep concern over what happened, ask for more information, and urge them to undertake a full investigation," State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said during a press briefing.
