US role in Shiraz terror attack revealed: Khamenei
Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei says the hidden role of the US in the terrorist attack in Shiraz has been revealed.
Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei criticized the "spiteful" US administration for supporting the ISIS terrorist organization and its role in the deadly attack on a sacred site in Shiraz, in southern Iran, last month.
He met with families affected by the Shah Cheragh terrorist attack on Tuesday and said that "those who founded ISIS are accomplices in this crime."
In remarks at the meeting, Khamenei said the bitter terrorist attack that has filled hearts with grief will go down in Iran’s history, noting that the hidden role of those involved in such a vicious act, "namely the spiteful Americans that have created the ISIS terrorist group," has been unveiled.
He further stated that the murder of pilgrims stood apart from other terrorist assaults and revealed more information about a controversy involving Iran's adversaries.
“Apart from the criminal and treacherous perpetrators (of the attack), the chief supporters and creators of ISIS are accomplices in this crime,” Khamenei added, saying the US is such a rotten liar with such scandalous behavior and so hypocritical that it hoists the flag of human rights in words, but creates dangerous terrorist groups in practice.
Khamenei urged cultural and media institutions in Iran to produce artistic works that depicted the terrorist attack on Shah Cheragh, and other historical events.
He highlighted that Iranian organizations should preserve for future generations the details of the terrorist attack in Shiraz, just as they do with Ashura and other historical occasions.
