Earlier this morning, the spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that several anti-ship missiles were fired at the US warship USS Gravely in the Red Sea.

"Triumphing the oppressed Palestinian people and in support and solidarity with our brothers [and sisters] in the Gaza Strip, and in retaliation to the American-British aggression against our country, the naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces fired a number of appropriate naval missiles at the American destroyer 'USS Graveley' in the Red Sea," the spokesperson announced.

Saree reaffirmed that all American and British warships in the Arabian and Red Seas are legitimate targets for waging aggression against the country, as per Yemen's right to defend its national sovereignty.

"The Yemeni Armed Forces persist with their military operations: enforcing a blockade on Israeli navigation in the Red and Arabian seas until a ceasefire is achieved, and food and medicine are allowed into the besieged Palestinian people of the Gaza Strip," he said concluding the statement.
