Vital target in Haifa port attacked: Islamic Resistance in Iraq

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq continues to conduct operations against targets in occupied Palestine as regional tensions escalate.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it conducted an operation against a vital target in the Israeli-occupied port of Haifa using drones.

This comes "in continuation of our path to resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Palestine, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly."

Regarding the effect of the Iraqi operations against the Israeli occupation, on Monday, Israeli media published new details regarding the drone strike carried out by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq on the Israeli naval base in Umm al-Rashrash [Eilat] more than two months after the attack.

Amir Bohbot, the military correspondent for the Israeli website Walla, reported that the details permitted for publication so far indicate that the drone, which was launched from Iraq in late March, struck the naval base in Eilat and fell near a Sa'ar 6-class corvette.

The military correspondent stated that just one day after the explosion of a suspicious object in the Eilat area, it was allowed to be published that a drone, launched from Iraq, struck the naval base in the area, causing damage.

He noted that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq issued a statement on the same day claiming responsibility for the attack on a target in Eilat.

The Walla! news website lamented the precise hit achieved by the Iraq drone attack, despite an Israeli missile boat being equipped with the Barak-1 automated weapon system, which has a 100% target-hit capability. It pointed out that the Israeli Navy and Air Force's failure to intercept the drone was met with criticism within the Israeli army.
