Wa’ed Association: News of Corona outbreak in all sections of "Nafha" Prison.

Wa'ed Association for Palestinian Prisoners called on the Israeli occupation to reveal the truth about what is happening in "Nafha" prison, stressing that "there are reports of the virus being transmitted to all sections of the prison, which include nearly 500 prisoners, the majority of whom are patients and elderly."

The Association held the Israeli occupation "responsible for this heinous crime, and then the international institutions that are still silent about what is happening," adding that it does not rule out "the deterioration of the condition of some of the injured prisoners."

The occupation aims to cover up the tension in prisons

Moreover, Wa'ed pointed out that the occupation claimed it discovered an escape plan from "Ofer" prison only to cover up the deteriorating health situation in the prisons, amid the increasing number of COVID19 cases.

The Association called on the media to focus and intensify coverage of the prisoners' Resistance, which is expected to increase successively in the coming hours and days, in response to repression, abuse, and medical neglect.

It is noteworthy that the Prisoners Club announced yesterday that 60 prisoners were infected with Coronavirus in section 12 of the "Nafha" prison, stressing that the policy of the Israeli occupation prisons administration is withholding information leading to the inability of counting the number of infected people.

The same applies to "Ofer" prison, as the Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed a few days ago that more than half of the prisoners inside Ofer prison are infected with the Coronavirus, stressing that the occupation has turned the pandemic into a tool of abuse.
