The Foreign Policy revealed the United States' intentions to sow discord between Russia and China in the UN Security Council.
The magazine wrote that the United States is waiting for Russia to intervene in Ukraine in order to use its position at the UN Security Council to draw the attention of members to the "diplomatic isolation of Moscow because of its policies."
The magazine's report indicated that the United States will not be able to directly influence Russia in the United Nations Security Council by using its veto, but it will seek to create differences between Russia and China if possible.
It concluded that the US relies on China's position as one of the most ardent defenders of the territorial sovereignty of the organization's member states at the United Nations, so it will do everything in its power to create a gap between Moscow and Beijing.
Yesterday, Friday, the Kremlin rejected US accusations of Russia deploying elements in Ukraine to carry out a sabotage operation that constitutes a Russian "pretext for an invasion" of the country.
