Earlier, Hamas mourned the "great national leader" al-Arouri, who commanded the Resistance in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and was the "architect" of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. The martyr garnered the respect of other Palestinian Resistance factions, during his impeccable political and revolutionary career.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Popular Resistance Committees, al-Mujahideen Movement, and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) all put out statements mourning the leader.
The PFLP promised to avenge the national leader, who worked to maintain Palestinian unity.
"We promise that the enemy’s leaders, generals, and settlers will pay dearly for their crimes, that the promise and vision of Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri will be fulfilled, and that the banners of victory will rise above Palestine, all of Palestine from its sea to its river," the PFLP emphasized.
