What the Israeli occupation failed to achieve in negotiations will not be retained through war and crimes, the Palestinian Resistance Hamas reiterated in a statement on Sunday.
Hamas also called for widespread participation in the general strike, activities, and marches in rejection of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, stressing that "There is no choice but uprising in the face of the occupation, and igniting all flashpoints in the West Bank."
This comes as Palestinian factions in the West Bank announced a general strike on Monday in the Palestinian territories, refugee camps, and the diaspora, in protest against "the genocide in the Gaza Strip, with the participation of supporters and freedom advocates around the world."
The factions called for efforts to "make the global strike a success to raise awareness and draw attention to the crimes of the occupation."
The health authorities in Gaza noted that since March 18, 2025, at least 1,335 people have been killed and 3,297 have been injured, highlighting a steep escalation in the humanitarian crisis.
The cumulative toll from the Israeli genocide, which began on October 7, 2023, has now reached 50,695 killed and 115,338 injured, according to the Ministry’s latest figures.
Meanwhile, the Wes Bank continues to be subjected to daily Israeli raids, home demolitions, mass arrest campaigns, and the forced displacement and killings of its residents.
