The deputy head of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yo Jong, said on Thursday that the US is the source of escalations in the Ukraine conflict due to its relentless supply of arms and weapons to Kiev.

"The US, by pumping Ukraine with a large number of weapons, is 'distinguished' in stimulating the continuation of unstable global events, and recently made its anti-Russian position even clearer by officially announcing the supply of its main tanks [to Ukraine]," Kim Yo Jong said.

She noted that the US is waging a "proxy war aimed at destroying the Russian Federation" to achieve a unipolar world.

She further said that the US is the "main culprit" in posing a strategic threat to Russia's national security, and that "without the US, the world will be brighter, safer, and more peaceful."

"We are deeply concerned about the behavior of the US, leading to an escalation of the war with the supply of military equipment to Ukraine for ground attack, and we strongly condemn this," Kim Yo Jong said.

She added that the DPRK will always stand by the side of the people and the army of Russia.

"We will always be in the same trench with the army and people of Russia, which stood up to fight to protect the dignity and honor of the state, sovereignty, and security country," she said.

"I have no doubt that any military equipment that the US and the West brag about will be burned to the ground in the face of the invincible fighting spirit and might of the heroic Russian army and people," Kim Yo Jong added.
