WH 'endorses' all CNN, Bloomberg articles about Russia - Sources
As part of the rampant Russophobia in the West, the White House decides to 'endorse' controversial texts of articles on the Bloomberg and CNN websites.
US administration officials "endorse" all the texts of articles on the CNN and Bloomberg websites and agree on all the implications linked to the spread of anti-Russian fake news, according to a diplomatic source to Sputnik.
"The leadership of CNN and Bloomberg has been taken by the throat by the White House. Now both of these US media, and previously key elements of US neo-liberal propaganda, have completely merged with the administration. John Micklethwait, editor-in-chief of Bloomberg, has now become almost a staff member of the National Security Council," the source said.
"The texts of articles on the websites of CNN and Bloomberg are endorsed by White House officials, and this order has only become tougher after the start of the special operation in Ukraine. The timing of publications, style, accents — literally everything is coordinated. The ban on anti-Russian fakes has now been lifted 'from above,' and rabid Russophobia has become the main specialization of these 'respected representatives of the fourth power,'" it added.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said earlier that Russophobia has become unprecedented and is already turning into the political ideology of several countries. Russian President Vladimir Putin also stated that discrimination against everything associated with Russia was progressing in the West. Putin believes that the works of Dmitri Shostakovich, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and Sergei Rachmaninov are vanishing from posters, and Russian writers and their books are being banned.
Western countries have been imposing sanctions on anything and everything Russian, from oil and gas sales to even Russian-bred cats and classes on Russian writers, sparking comments of rampant Russophobia in the West.
Putin said back in March that the West was trying to punish Russia by persecuting Russians and by cracking down on Russian music, culture, and literature.
"By attempting to cancel Russia, the West has lifted the mask of decency and is acting like louts, showing its true colours," Putin said last month as auction houses in London decided to cancel sales of Russian art as part of the Western sanctions on Russia.
