WH spox calls Russia ‘People’s Republic of Russia’, Polyansky trolls
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre gets mocked following a slip of the tongue, renaming Russia as the "People’s Republic of Russia".
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, without any hesitation, announced, on Friday, that US President Joe Biden and European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen would be discussing ways to “address the challenges posed by the People’s Republic of Russia.”
In a mocking response to Jean-Pierre's slip of the tongue, which altered the name of the Russian Federation, the Russian first deputy permanent representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky, in a tweet, also offered alternative names to the US and UK:
“It must be a foe of United American Emirates and the British Confederation!”

Other Twitter accounts also trolled the press secretary, where one account said “I guess the two countries merged when nobody was looking,” implying that the ‘People’s Republic of Russia’ may be the unification between Russia and China.
“.. The People‘s Republic of Russia”
