WHO says no info about white phosphorus Gaza victims, despite evidence
The World Health Organization claims to have no idea or clue regarding the presence of any victims as a result of "Israel's" use of white phosphorus in the Gaza Strip.
The World Health Organization (WHO) claims to have no idea or clue regarding the presence of any victims as a result of "Israel's" use of white phosphorus in the Gaza Strip, according to its spokesperson Margaret Harris on Tuesday.
However, Human Rights Watch declared last Friday that the IOF did use artillery-fired white phosphorus to strike Lebanon and the Gaza Strip on October 10 and 11.
Yet, United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said the UN was not aware of any white phosphorus used at all by the IOF.
The UN has only spoken out on the matter of killing hundreds of Palestinian children by the IOF yet remains silent in action while the IOF continues to violate international law - the very principle that the UN was built on.
During a briefing and after being asked if medical authorities on the ground reported cases of such weapons being used since it leaves "specific damage to the human skin", Harris responded: "We don't have that [evidence] … at the moment".
Resting the case
Debunking a claim means providing concrete and tangible evidence that proves the claim wrong, and in this case, sufficient evidence available is an understatement.
IDF denies using white phosphorus, but we at @amnesty verified images of Israeli forces on October 9 near Sderot with artillery shells labelled D528 - the US Department of Defense Identification Code for white phosphorus-based rounds.

Amnesty International has already presented compelling evidence on Saturday contradicting the IOF's denial of using white phosphorus during recent aggressions.
Images obtained by the human rights organization show Israeli forces near the "Sderot" settlement on October 9 with artillery shells bearing the code D528, which corresponds to the US Department of Defense Identification Code for white phosphorus-based rounds.
Israeli occupation forces employed white phosphorus bombs in 2006, in 2008-2009 against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, and again in 2014 against civilians in Gaza. In all three wars, "Israel" claimed to use phosphorus bombs for illumination purposes.
Meanwhile, Human Rights Watch substantiated these claims with video evidence from Lebanon and Gaza, which depicted multiple airbursts of artillery-fired white phosphorus over the Gaza City port and two rural locations along the occupied Palestine-Lebanon border.
IOF Spokesperson Peter Lerner later denied the HRW report in an interview with CNN on Friday - as expected.
Many reports from outlets like The Guardian have been defending "Israel" by claiming that it has been using the incendiary weapon for "illumination" purposes.
