Yaakov Herzog's Dream of Becoming Chief Rabbi of Saudi Arabia
Israeli media reported an Israeli rabbi appears in Saudi Arabia who aspires to be the main Israeli rabbi in Riyadh.
Religious affairs commentator for "Israel's" Channel 12, Yair Sherki confirmed that the rabbi who was filmed in Saudi Arabia dancing with a Saudi citizen is the Israeli rabbi Yaakov Herzog.
He explained that Herzog is a member of the Chabad group, and works in Saudi Arabia. He is an Israeli with an American passport and aspires to become the chief rabbi of Saudi Arabia one day.
Sherki commented on Yaakov's stroll with two delegate sheikh from Bahrain in the west of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), affirming that authorities were in contact with him. The commentator hoped that Herzog would be the chief rabbi in Saudi Arabia when the two countries made their relationship official.
Herzog had previously posted a video clip of him dancing in Riyadh with the hashtag "Rabbi in Riyadh."

Last April, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan stated that normalization relations with "Israel" would bring enormous benefits to the whole region, adding that it would be economically and socially beneficial, as well as the right decision to make in terms of security.
Saudis commented on the photos and videos of the rabbi Herzog in Riyadh, expressing their objection to his presence in the country.
