The YAF have described the site hit in Beer al-Sabe' as "sensitive", further exposing gaps in "Israel's" air defenses and marking a major escalation in its military support for Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced a long-range missile strike on a sensitive Israeli military site in the occupied city of Beer al-Sabe', marking a significant escalation in their military support for Palestinians amid the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that the operation was carried out using a Zulfiqar ballistic missile, which achieved its mission. This marks the first time Yemeni forces have publicly acknowledged launching a Zulfiqar missile at Beer al-Sabe', a target roughly 2,243 kilometers from Yemeni territory.

The significance of the strike lies not only in its range but also in its apparent success in bypassing "Israel's" air defense network, which includes the Iron Dome, David's Sling, and Arrow systems. Israeli media confirmed sirens were triggered in Beer al-Sabe', the Arad region, and parts of the Dead Sea, with an explosion reported shortly afterward.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials claimed that the missile had been intercepted.

The failure to stop the missile highlights growing vulnerabilities in "Israel's" air defenses, especially against threats from the south. Analysts point to flattened missile trajectories, unexpected launch angles, and strains on interceptor stockpiles as contributing factors. According to defense reports, "Israel's" system, though multi-layered and technologically advanced, is increasingly being tested by long-range precision weapons launched from multiple fronts, including Yemen, Lebanon, and Iran.
For Gaza
This latest operation, Saree noted, is part of a broader campaign of support for Palestinians in Gaza. Over the past week, Yemeni forces carried out multiple attacks on Israeli military and strategic installations in Beer al-Sabe', Yafa, and Haifa using both ballistic missiles and drones, all of which, according to Saree, “hit their targets accurately and achieved their intended results.”
"Loyal Yemen will never abandon its religious, moral, and humanitarian obligations toward the Palestinian people, regardless of the consequences," Saree said. He reaffirmed that military operations in solidarity with Gaza will continue until the Israeli aggression ends and the blockade is lifted.
In recent months, Yemen has also deployed its Palestine 2 hypersonic missiles as part of its broader campaign to support Gaza, which began in November 2023.
