The Yemeni Armed Forces announced a series of high-profile military operations on Thursday, including the launch of a Zulfiqar ballistic missile targeting the vicinity of the Israeli Ben Gurion Airport and coordinated strikes on two US aircraft carriers in the Arabian Sea.

According to military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the operations mark a continuation of Yemen's military response to the ongoing US aggression against the country.

"For the second month in a row, we continue to confront the US aggression on our country," Saree said in a televised statement.

Strikes on USS Harry S. Truman, USS Carl Vinson

The spokesperson confirmed a dual operation targeting the USS Harry S. Truman and USS Carl Vinson along with their respective fleets. This marks the first time that the USS Carl Vinson has been targeted since its deployment to the region.

"The American aircraft carriers that recently arrived in the region failed to achieve what the previous four aircraft carriers did," the statement said.

MQ-9 drone shot down

Yemen's air defenses also reported the downing of a US MQ-9 Reaper drone in the airspace over the capital, Sanaa. The incident adds to a growing list of confrontations between Yemeni forces and US military assets.

Brigadier-General Saree emphasized that Yemen’s operations were directly tied to continued support for the Palestinian people amid Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza.

"Yemen will not back down from continuing its operations in support of the Palestinian people until the cessation of the Israeli war on Gaza," he stated.

The spokesperson warned that ongoing US military mobilization and airstrikes would only lead to increased Yemeni military operations.

"The enemy will only sow defeat in its aggression on our country," he said, adding that Yemen remains resolute at both the leadership and popular levels.

US aggression on Yemen's Ras Isa port kills 58

The Ras Isa oil port in northwest Hodeidah was severely damaged on Thursday after a series of United States airstrikes, marking one of the most severe escalations in the American military campaign against Yemen in recent weeks.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent on the ground reported that civil defense teams are battling large fires that continue to rage across the strategic oil facility after the assault.

Al-Masirah TV, citing the Health Office in Hodeidah, revealed that 58 were martyred and 126 more were injured in the attacks, with the death toll from the Ras Issa Port massacre likely to rise, considering all the critical injuries reported and the ongoing search for missing persons.

According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, at least five emergency workers were killed by the strikes while fighting the fires.

Sanaa gov. promises retaliation

The government in Sanaa condemned the attack in the strongest possible terms, denouncing it as a “full-fledged war crime.” The government warned that such actions "will not go unpunished."

“This crime once again proves that the American enemy deliberately targets civilian facilities and vital infrastructure,” the statement read. “The justifications provided by the US are false and misleading.”

Sanaa further emphasized that the US escalation would not deter Yemen from continuing its operations in support of Palestine. “

We will continue our support operations, which have been 100% successful in preventing Israeli navigation in the Red Sea,” the statement asserted.

Reaffirming Yemen’s stance, the government said it reserves the legal right to self-defense and holds Washington fully accountable for the consequences of its ongoing aggression in regional waters.
