The Yemeni Armed Forces announced Tuesday that the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman has been targeted in the northern Red Sea with two cruise missiles and two drones.
American aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman "was targeted in the northern Red Sea with two cruise missiles and two drones," Saree said, adding, "A US destroyer was attacked with a cruise missile and four drones."
Saree pointed out that the aforementioned targeting was "the third in the past 48 hours, and the enemy was struck by a state of confusion, which prompted many of its warships to retreat towards the northern Red Sea region, and an air attack that was being prepared against our country was thwarted."
The Yemeni Armed Forces warned that the United States bears full responsibility for the consequences of militarizing the Red Sea and expanding the scope of confrontation through its continued aggression against Yemen, which they say has negatively impacted international shipping traffic.
In a statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces affirmed that they will persist in targeting all hostile entities in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea until the aggression against Yemen ceases. They also declared their readiness to confront any escalation by the US or Israel in the coming hours and days.
The statement further saluted the Yemeni people who took to the streets in response to the call of Leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on the Day of Furqan, marking the anniversary of the Great Battle of Badr. The demonstrators reaffirmed their steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their rejection of American aggression against Yemen. The Yemeni Armed Forces also reiterated their preparedness to counter any potential US or Israeli escalation.
A high-ranking Yemeni source told Al Mayadeen that Yemen’s military operations in the region will not stop until humanitarian aid reaches Gaza. The source added that if the blockade on Gaza persists, Yemen will adopt “new military options,” warning that continued US attacks could lead to "painful choices yet to begin." The source further cautioned Americans, stating that "Trump is leading their economy toward collapse."
