Yemen prepares for sweeping in solidarity with Palestine, Lebanon
Yemen is expected to witness unprecedented nationwide demonstrations, with rallies scheduled in over 460 central and local squares during morning and evening hours.
Mass rallies took place Friday across Yemen in provinces including Saada, Raymah, Maarib, and various districts in Amran, Ibb, Taiz, Hajjah, Dhamar, al-Jawf, and al-Mahwit. The demonstrations, held under the slogan "With Gaza and Lebanon… The Blood of Martyrs Creates Victory," expressed solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples as they faced ongoing aggression for over a year.
Yemen is expected to witness unprecedented nationwide demonstrations, with rallies scheduled in over 460 central and local squares during morning and evening hours. This massive mobilization comes in response to a call by Yemen's Supreme Committee for the Support of al-Aqsa to denounce the Israeli occupation's massacres in Gaza and Lebanon.
The coastal province of Hodeidah, located on Yemen's Red Sea coastline, is leading the national mobilization, with the committee designating 103 squares for demonstrations.
In Ibb province, 75 squares have been designated for protests against Israeli aggression and in support of Palestine and Lebanon. Meanwhile, Hajjah province will host demonstrations in 70 squares, Amran in 49 squares, and Saada in 29 squares.
In al-Jawf province, 27 squares were allocated, while 26 squares were identified in al-Mahwit, 19 in Taiz, 18 in Dhamar, and 24 in Raymah for the massive rallies.
Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi called on the Yemeni people to participate in Friday's demonstrations in support of Gaza, Palestine, and Lebanon. He urged Yemenis to gather in Sanaa's al-Sabeen Square and other provinces, emphasizing that such actions reflect "life, dignity, strength, education, and psychological readiness."
This widespread mobilization underscores Yemen's unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese Resistance and its condemnation of Israeli atrocities.
US, 'Israel' eyeing new Middle East
Sayyed al-Houthi stressed Thursday that "Washington's use of the veto against the draft resolution for a ceasefire in Gaza reflects its barbarism, brutality, and complicity in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon," sarcastically highlighting how "America is the one who talks the most about peace, and yet it is the one who commits the most crimes and wars of extermination in the world and is the occupation's partner in crime."
He further said that the "decisions that aim to stop the genocide against the Palestinian people are unacceptable to the Americans, who pursue an aggressive approach toward Arabs and Muslims."
The Yemeni Resistance leader also denounced the Arab leaders' responses as ineffective, highlighting that "summits and statements from Arab and Muslim leaders are futile," reiterating that the US is a primary partner in "Israel's" crimes across the region, including in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt.
Additionally, Sayyed al-Houthi pointed out that the repeated Israeli talk about Palestine, the rest of the Levant, Egypt, parts of Saudi Arabia, and Iraq is only intended to control and occupy these regions, adding that "the American and Israeli statements about changing the face of the Middle East aim to control everyone in a way that serves the interests of both sides."
