The Spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces said Tuesday that the country was behind the operation targeting the Israeli occupation earlier today using different types of aerial weapons.

In a televised statement, Brigadier General Yahya Saree said that the army launched a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles as well as drones toward various targets in occupied Palestine in support of the Palestinian people and Gaza.

Saree revealed that this is the third of such operations carried out by Yemen against "Israel" since the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. He stressed that it was driven by the country's sense of responsibility and duty toward occupied Palestine and in response to the calls made by the Yemeni people to support the Palestinian people against the occupation's aggression.

The military top official also vowed that these operations will continue until the aggression on Gaza stops.

Israeli media reported earlier today that an Arrow anti-ballistic system intercepted a long-range missile launched from the Red Sea region toward the occupied Palestinian territories, adding that explosions were heard over "Eilat".

According to the system's producer, "Israel" Aerospace Industries, Arrow - also known as Hetz - is a mobile system that can be deployed depending on the threats faced.

This is the first time Hetz has been activated since the start of Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7.

The military correspondent for Israeli Channel 13 described the developments in "Eilat" as "highly significant." This marks the "first time that the Hetz system has intercepted a surface-to-surface missile launched from Yemen, which is more than 2000 kilometers."

In addition to this missile, "Ansar Allah also launched two guided missiles, which were intercepted by Israeli Air Force far away from Eilat," Or Heller added.

Earlier today, Israeli media reported that a drone coming from the direction of the Red Sea infiltrated the "Eilat" settlement before being intercepted by anti-missile systems.

A number of Israeli news agencies estimated that the UAV was launched from Yemen, stating that this "is the most logical assumption."

In light of these developments, the mayor of the settlement announced a "significant enhancement of air defense systems in the vicinity of Eilat."

News about missile and drone launches from Yemen toward the occupation entity has been recurring in the past two weeks.

The operations come in light of paramount solidarity with the Palestinian people from Yemen, with the support seeing Sanaa seeking to retaliate against the Israeli occupation for its ongoing crimes and massacres against the civilians in Gaza.

Most recently, Israeli outlets reported that a ballistic missile launched from Yemen at Monday dawn was intercepted by the US Navy in the northern Red Sea. Additionally, the Israeli Air Force stated a few days ago that it intercepted Yemeni drones over the Red Sea, claiming that they were launched from Yemen "potentially" toward “Israel".
